Over the past 65 years, the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race has become an icon of Australia’s summer sport, ranking in public interest with such national events as the Melbourne Cup horse race, the Davis Cup tennis and the cricket tests between Australia and England.

Experience the excitement of the lead up and start of the race whist enjoying live music and soaking up the atmosphere created by hundreds of spectator and media vessels also out to watch the impressive Rolex fleet embark upon their journey to Hobart.  The Southern Swan tall ship is magnificent traditional square rigger tall ship built in the style of the 1850s and has been farewelling the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race challengers for over twenty years.
